Recent History: Aaron Zig's debut full length, "The Medicine's Kicking In" was recorded at Studio Litho, studio of Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard, with some of Seattle finest players. Featuring a breadth of styles and arrangements, from fingerpicked acoustic guitar to full band psychedelic epics, it challenges and rewards the listener with a layered depth reminiscent of Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens, Nick Drake, and Devendra Banhart.
The Band: Aaron Zig often plays solo, but when joined by a band, it is a rotating cast of Seattle's finest - Ed Brooks, Annie Jantzer, Robert Mitchell, Steve Okimoto, Moe Provencher, Tekla Waterfield, and Aimee Zoe.
Venues: Tractor Tavern, Conor Byrne, Sunset Tavern, Columbia City Theatre, Town Hall, The Royal Room, Triple Door Lounge, The Blue Moon, Wing Luke Museum. Aaron Zig has toured much of the states from New York, Austin, Milwaukee, and Kansas City to name a few. Shared The Stage With: Rick Rosas (Neil Young), Courtney Andrews, The Maldives, Mary Lambert, The Ramblin' Years, Pepper Proud, Tekla Waterfield & The Sweet Nothings, Sam Russell, Vince Martinez, Whiting Tennis, Tim Seely and many more. Aaron Zig has performed regularly with The Bushwick Book Club and has played numerous benefit concerts as Give It To Me Rusty. |
